Drive SnapShot - программа, предназначенная для резервного копирования всего жесткого диска или его отдельных разделов, включая операционную систему, всех установленные программ, данных и атрибутов безопасности в то время, как Windows запущена и вы продолжаете работать на компьютере. Это приложение позволяет создавать образы дисков в фоновом режиме, чем обеспечивает полную сохранность всех данных, а так же позволяет избежать остановки работы компьютера.
Полученный образ может быть смонтирован в качестве виртуального диска, с помощью которого вы с легкостью сможете восстановить или использовать отдельные файлы и директории, используя обычное окно проводника Windows или другие файловые менеджеры. Программа поддерживает файловые системы FAT16, FAT32, NTFS, RAID-массивы и позволяет работать в автоматическом выбранном режиме. Для работы по расписанию используется имеющийся в Windows планировщик заданий.
SnapShot is disk imaging software that enables the user to back up, restore and view backed up hard disk data, easily and safely. Snapshot Backup is aimed at the backup/disaster recovery market. There is little use for on the fly disk image creation, if you want to deploy hundreds or thousands of workstations. We think however, that the possibility to do on the fly backup is very important for the end user to regularly protect his data. At least, this was our reason to create Snapshot. No need to shut down and boot from floppy, no need to create network disks, and no need to wait half an hour for the backup process - we think that's nice. Snapshot View is a very easy and powerful method to explore disk images. This technique could be easily adapted to disk images created by other disk imaging programs.

Drive Snapshot creates an exact Disk Image of your system into a file, including the operating system, installed programs, your data and all security attributes - while windows is running and you continue to work. Drive Snapshot it allows you to backup your partition or your hard disk drive and it also can create a disk image of your system. If disaster strikes (a virus, trojan, or hard disk crash), a complete and exact restauration of your system will be possible in only few minutes. The image file can be mounted as a virtual drive, so you can easily restore (or use) single files or directories, using the Windows Explorer, or other program.
